CLASSIFICATION EFFICIENCY:

The assessment of classification efficiency is done with sieve analyses. By definition, it is the percent classifiable material in the feed that report to the overflow stream as per the formula below.

E = (O/F).(o-f)/[f(100-f)].10000


where E is the efficiency of the classifier,
O is the tonnage of classifier overflow,
F is the tonnage of classifier feed,
o is the overflow material finer than the separation sieve,
f is the feed material finer than the separation sieve.
