CONFIDENCE INTERVAL CALCULATION:
Calculation of the confidence interval (CI) of a parameter's mean value X with a known standard deviation and sample size, at a given confidence level.
This applies to a parameter with repeat measurements.
Example: calculation of the 90 percent confidence interval of the average gold recovery from 4 repeat flotation tests.
To use:
✅Enter the mean (μ) obtained from the repeat measurements/tests.
✅Provide the standard deviation (σ).
✅Enter the sample size n
✅Enter the alpha value between 0 and 1 (e.g. 0.1 for 90% confidence level or 0.05 for 95% confidence level) for which the corresponding confidence interval is to be calculated.
✅Click on "Calculate" to calculate the confidence interval, and the results will be shown below.
