Flotation Grades & Recoveries: While this tool was primarily developed for flotation circuits, it can be used for other processes (e.g., gravity separation). It calculates the cumulative recoveries and concentrate grades, the recoveries at a given grade or the grades at a given recovery of a specific element/mineral, and the first order flotation rate constants k and maximum recoveries Rmax (R = Rmax[1-exp(-kt)]). Combine streams/samples: In some instances, it is necessary to mathematically combine two or more streams (e.g., feed = concentrates + tailing). Combine size fractions: During size by size analyses, it is sometimes necessary to combine two or more size fractions (e.g. +106 and +75 microns) to better understand the data. Watch a Youtube video example. Recoveries by size: In metallurgy, knowing the recoveries by size fractions is very helpful in identifying potential losses and corresponding optimisation strategies.
