In laboratory tests, the weight of solid ore charge to be tested needs to be appropriately determined.
This is to obtain the correct percent solid in a feed stream (e.g., leach feed or flotation feed).
The provided online tool accounts for the effective (slurry) volume, water and solid densities, as well as the target solid content.

To use:

Enter the slurry or flotation cell effective volume in litres.

Provide the water density (e.g., 1).

Provide the solid density (e.g., 3.2).

Enter the target percent solid to achieve (e.g., 33 percent solid in flotation feed).

Click on "Calculate" to calculate the mass of solid per charge in Kg.
